Flat Springs & Spring clips are normally stamped from sheet metal, bent into form and then heat treated. This allows for the metal to store energy and act like a conventional spring. This energy is released when the restraining force is removed. There are many uses for flat springs, some of the more common are clock springs, clamps and clips allowing fastening within applications.
